Great recipe! SO quick & easy to make. This will be a quick go to recipe for bananna bread! As other suggested, I added some cinnamon & some vanilla extract and it came out wonderfully. I baked 1 loaf for 1 hour in a metal pan and it was cooked perfectly. This recipe is a keeper.

I love this banana bread and so does my family. I won't dare try another recipe, even if there is a better one out there. My family, especially me Father loved this bread and make it especially for him as often as possible. Sometimes I add walnuts and sometimes not, but either way, delicious!

I had 2 very ripe leftover bananas, so I cut the original recipe in 1/2 with no other changes and it turned out so moist and delicious! I even baked it in my toaster oven so I wouldn't have to heat the whole kitchen this time of year...will definitely use this recipe all the time! Thanks!

This recipe is fine, but not quite good enough for 5 stars. The recipe says to make 2 loaves, but I think (based on the pictures) most reviewers make 1. I made the 2 as suggested and they cooked in 35 minutes-- actually they were a bit overcooked, probably could have taken them out in 30 minutes, but I was planning to leave them in the oven for an hour since that's what the recipe said to do. The loaves came out about 1 inch high, so not an impressive-looking bread. I'd suggest making only 1 loaf out of this recipe and putting it in for the entire hour.

This is such a simple recipe and always delicious. I substitute 50% of the white flour with wheat flour and always use at least one extra banana, as well as add some cinnamon. This recipe also makes excellent muffins; just be sure to reduce the cooking time.

This is a really great recipe. I also added 1/2 tsp cinnamon as well as 1 tsp vanilla, the zest of a lemon and about 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries. Instead of loaves I made a dozen muffins, I baked them for 12 minutes, rotated them and baked them for additional 12 minutes. Really great recipe, thanks for sharing!

Heavenly! Made a few changes: 1/3 c applesauce instead of butter, added 1/2 c bran and 2 tbs ground flaxseed, a tbs cinnamon, 1/2 c sugar instead of 1 c, 1/5 c honey, an extra banana, an extra tsp of baking soda, and a c of chopped walnuts! (also used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose) I baked for about 50 minutes in a 9x5 pan (Covered top with foil after 30 min). Delicious! :D

Just made this last night along with a batch of the Banana crumb Muffins from this site, I had a lot of over ripe bananas that I did not want to through out. This is a great basic recipe, I did make some changes as suggested by other reviewers, I added 1 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp. Vanilla, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 cup of nuts and 1/3 cup of chocolate chips and lastly I reduced the sugar to 3/4 cup. I also sprinkled the top with more chopped nuts just before I put in the oven. The result a very beautiful moist banana bread with just the right hint of chocolate. Great with coffee this morning!!

Mmmm, so yummy. I added cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla so it's kind of like a banana smoothie bread. I couldn't resist licking the bowl either because the batter was just SO good. Thanks for the great recipe!

I added 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon and used 4 bananas, otherwise it would get 5 stars! Makes a nice, large single loaf - 2 would be too shallow.

This is my go to recipe. I have tried other recipes and they always taste bland and don't turn out as well. I add 1 teaspoon cinnamon to the bread batter and before baking, I sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top. YUMMY! I have been told it's the best!

This was a very easy recipe, I did change it a little. I added 2 tbsp ground flaxseed & substituted 1/2 c wheat flour for 1/2 c of the white. I made one big loaf in a 9"x5" pan and cooked it for 55min. It was the best banana bread I've ever had!!!

This recipe is great. I used some of the suggestions and added 1/2c flour, 1 banana, 1 tsp vanilla and 1/2c semi-sweet chocolate chips. I also used 1 tsp. baking soda and I tsp. baking powder and it rose perfectly! I made 20 muffins, cooking time was 25 minutes. I will definitely use again. Great banana taste.
