Bagels I

Reviewed on Aug. 3, 2008 by Rich
I liked this a lot, it did remind me of New York bagels. I tried the work saving method of the bread machine, but was rewarded with more of a clean up, a yeast dough will stick to a non stick surface. I made an old favorite but hard to find salt bagel using course salt and they came out wonderful.

Pepper Steak

Reviewed on Aug. 1, 2008 by craigmalone
I loved the recipe. I did change a couple of things. I used one medium yellow onion and two medium shallots. I also added an 1/8 teaspoon of sesame oil to give it more of an asian flare. I substituted beef stock for the bouillon, and sliced almonds in place of the chestnuts. I heated the stock up in the microwave with the almonds in it to soften them up. The meal came out delicious and the health factor is what really makes this a five star recipe !!!

Decorator Frosting I

Reviewed on May 13, 2008 by Beadanurse
This frosting is OK for decorating, but not great for frosting the whole cake. I added a pinch of salt to tone down the sweetness.
