Pumpkin-Apple Muffins with Streusel Topping

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
This is a great recipe, very tasty! I made a few changes to teh original recipe...I used 1/2 white flour and 1/2 whole wheat flour, 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar (I cut the sugar down to 1 1/2 cups)and finally 1/3 cup oil and 3/4 cup applesauce. We did not use the topping but added chocolate chips to some and walnuts to others! They were delicious!

Perogies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2008
I'm only giving this 2 stars because even though I followed the dough recipe exactly, it was way too sticky to even handle, nevermind rolling out. I made my own filling, so I don't know how the filling in this recipe would have turned out.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
Very good, I love any salad with nuts and fruit. I use blue cheese in place of the roquefort and also added almonds along with the pecans.

Shrimpcargot

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was the best, delicious a new appetizer for my house. I sprinkled a little bread crumbs just underneath the cheese and added a little white wine in the bottom of the pan. Mixed mozzarella with a four cheese blend. Thanks for the great easy recipe.

Apple Goat Cheese Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Outstanding, my BF ask how could someone rate this as not good tasting. Cheese and apples, how can you go wrong. The herbs just put it over the top. Thanks for a great recipe.

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was really good. Came out great, I used fresh squeezed lemons, next time I may do have lemons and half bottle lemon juice and I will leave out the lemon zest as I don't like them generally, but wanted to make the recipe according to the direction.

Lemon Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
I only make the cake part to this recipe and it was wonderful, nice and light. Did not grease the pan and had no problem getting it out. I make the microwave lemon curd and whipped cream cheese frosting from this site for the two middle layers, i put a layer of lemon curd and some of the frosting and then frosted the cake with the remaining frosting. It was great to pair the lemon with the sweet frosting. The only problem is the frosting was very creamy, but the flavor combination of it all was wonderful.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
This was ok, I could taste the biscuits, they just didn't taste like dumplings. Maybe next time I will make my own dumplings, otherwise this was a good recipe.

Jenny's Lime Glazed Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Very good recipe and my Husband really liked it - he cleaned his plate!! However, I was a little uneasy using 2 cups of mayonaise, so I used 1C mayo and 1C APPLESAUCE!!! Then for an extra measure of lime flavor, I added a "dash" of roses lime juice to enhance the real limes I did use. I am glad I cut the mayo - it would have been too strong otherwise. We'll have this again though, I have to recommend it to others! - J

Appetizer Meatballs

These were good. I would have preferred them a little sweeter, so next time I made add more honey.

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
Made this for the boyfriend, who is a pumpkin fiend. Satisfied his pumpkin craving (as well as the cravings of his 4 other roommates!) without the hassle of baking a pie! I'll definitely be making this again. I used heart shaped cookie cutters for cute shapes and ate the scraps myself :-)

Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This was really good, as per some other reviewers I may a few changes. I kept the vinegar and wine the same amount, I added crushed garlic and a little white and brown sugar, put it in a saucepan and let it form to a glaze. Use goat cheese on top of the filet and topped with the glaze. It was terrific.
